Brad Cadwallader

NZ Notable Trees Trust

 SPEAKER BIO

Inspired by the books of the day, Brad started practicing arboriculture on the Northshore in Auckland, in 1978. Following his university studies in horticulture at Massey, his early career was spent in parks maintenance and management in Auckland which strengthened this interest. Following a period of study and work in the field of Arboriculture in Canada, he returned to NZ in 1991 where he established a tree contracting business in Nelson. He sold this business to Nelmac Ltd in 1996 where he remained to manage a team of arborists until 2004. Since then he has enjoyed independent tree consultancy with a strong focus on the management of trees older than he is.

As retirement beckons, his obsession with trees will continue through his work with the NZ Notable Trees Trust managing the New Zealand Tree Register.
